Currencies

Enable supported currencies, select a default, and understand how Deal values remain currency-specific.

Currency settings control which supported currency codes are available for new Deal values. At least one currency must remain enabled, and the default currency must be enabled.

Default currency

The default helps preselect a currency for future Deal creation. Changing it does not alter existing Deals.

Multiple currencies

Each Deal stores its amount and currency separately. WebPro CRM does not perform foreign-exchange conversion and does not combine unlike currencies into a single converted total.

Deactivation

The default currency cannot be disabled. An inactive currency already used by a Deal can remain during an unrelated edit, but new or switched currency selections require an active currency.

Configure for real selling needs

Enable only currencies the team genuinely quotes. A primarily Indian workspace might use INR as default and enable USD for selected international work. The default preselects a value for future Deal creation; users must still confirm that it matches the customer discussion.

Read values correctly

Amount and currency form one commercial fact. INR 120,000 and USD 120,000 are not comparable values, and WebPro CRM does not calculate exchange rates. Dashboard and export interpretation should preserve that distinction rather than manually adding unlike currencies.

Before changing settings

Check existing Deals using the currency, explain the change to the team, and verify which currency should become default. Do not deactivate a code simply to hide an old Deal. Historical relationships remain important even when a currency is no longer offered for new work.

Common mistakes include assuming a new default rewrites existing Deals, entering a converted figure without changing its currency, and enabling several unused currencies that make creation harder.
