Create & manage Companies
Add a Company, maintain its contact details, and use archive and restore safely.
Create a Company
Open Companies → Add Company, or use Quick Create → Company. Enter the Company name and any available website, email, and phone information.
Keep the identity consistent
Use one recognizable Company record for the same business. Before creating another, review the existing list and any duplicate-awareness feedback available in the form.
Connect Contacts and Deals
Company selection in Contact and Deal workflows establishes the relationship. A Contact chosen for a Deal must remain consistent with the Deal’s Company.
Archive rather than erase
Archive Companies that should no longer be active. Historical relationships remain readable, and the Company can be restored later.
Before creating
Search for the business and review any duplicate-awareness feedback. Confirm whether a similar result is the same business, a related business, or a legitimately separate organization. Use the name colleagues and customers will recognize.
Maintain business details
Update the website, email, and international phone presentation when the business information changes. Keep customer conversation detail in the appropriate Lead, Deal, Activity, or Note rather than overloading Company identity fields.
When linking a Contact, confirm that the person actually belongs with the Company. When creating or editing a Deal, its Contact must remain consistent with the selected Company. These checks preserve trustworthy relationships within the current workspace.
Sales Executives may create and update Companies. Archiving and restoring require the broader Company archive capability held by Sales Managers and Organization Admins.
Before archiving, review active Contacts and Deals. Archiving preserves historical relationships but may remove the Company from active selection. Restore it when real work resumes instead of creating a replacement Company with the same identity.
