Settings overview
Understand account settings and the workspace administration areas available to Organization Admins.
Workspace settings
Organization Admins can manage Workspace name and timezone, Currencies, Lead Sources, Lost Reasons, Sales Pipeline, and Data Export.
These settings affect shared CRM behavior. Review current Deals and historical relationships before deactivating a reference value or Pipeline stage.
Account settings
Profile, Security, and Appearance belong to the signed-in account rather than CRM business configuration. Use Security to manage your own password and supported authentication protection.
Make deliberate changes
Administration actions are protected by role and recorded in the CRM audit history where designed. No-op changes do not create unnecessary audit noise.
Recommended review order
Begin with workspace name and timezone, then currencies, Lead Sources, Lost Reasons, and Sales Pipeline. Invite the wider team after the operational choices are understood. Data Export is a separate administrative action for approved business needs.
Reference settings affect future work
Deactivating a source, reason, currency, or stage normally prevents ordinary new selection while retained historical relationships remain readable. Review current records and impact information before changing configuration. Do not recreate an inactive value with slightly different spelling merely to make it selectable.
Personal settings are different
Profile, Security, and Appearance affect the signed-in account. Workspace settings affect shared CRM behavior. A Sales Manager may oversee tenant sales work but does not receive Organization Admin settings access simply because they can view or manage many records.
Before saving a change
Confirm the intended workspace, understand current record impact, and communicate changes that alter team terminology. Use precise names colleagues will recognize. If a change is unnecessary, leave the configuration unchanged rather than creating audit noise.
